Rogerio Atem de Carvalho
Rogério Atem de Carvalho is a teacher and researcher at the Federal Center for Technological Education of Campos - CEFET Campos, Brazil, since 1996. He earned his D.Sc. in 2001 in Production Engineering, and a B.Sc. in 1994 in Computer Science. He manages Cefet’s research activities since 2004, and founded in 2002, and manages since then, the Information Systems Research Group. His research interests are ERP, ECM, Decision Support Systems, Software Engineering and Project Management, areas where he published many articles, and acts as private and public sector consultant since 1994. He was awarded with the IFIP TC8 Distinguished Academic Leadership Award in 2006 for his research on Free/Open Source ERP systems. He wrote book chapters in both Computer Science and Production Engineering, and is currently associate editor and advisory board member of international periodicals. He is a founder member of the IEEE SMC Society Technical Committee on Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) and Chair of the IFIP TC8.9 Brazilian Chapter on EIS. He acted as referee and program committee member for various national and international conferences, and teaches undergraduation and graduation courses on Object Oriented Design, Project Management, ERP, and Decision Support Systems.
